A Local Non Profit: Giving Back in September – Benefiting Lunches of Love (LoL)
LoL offers nutritious lunches Monday through Friday during extended school holidays (spring, summer, and Christmas break), and weekends in Ft. Bend County. Their new Rosenberg facility, Texas, offers lunches for as little as $0.75. Many children in families that are facing food insecurity depend on school lunches for their only meal. Lunches of love are here to help fill the gap. It offers children in crisis a healthy sack lunch and snacks.
The History of Brandani’s Restaurant & Wine Bar in Houston, TX
Ron Brandani began his passion for cooking at the age of seven, learning from his Grandmother and Father. He and his wife opened Brandani’s Restaurant in Missouri City, fueled only by a distinguished career.
Claire and Ron were both born and raised in Houston. They started their careers in the restaurant business at the age of 15 and have since worked at many top Houston restaurants. Claire has worked for Brennan’s of Houston, and most recently for the Pappas Restaurant Group. Ron was the General Manager of Pesce Restaurant, before opening Bank Restaurant at Hotel Icon. This distinguished restaurant is owned and operated by Jean-Georges Vongrichten. Ron has collaborated with winemakers and vineyard owners from around the world to create elaborate food pairings for wine dinners. He was the Managing Partner of the Original Carrabba’s in Kirby before opening his own restaurant. Brandani’s Restaurant and Wine Bar opened in March 2015. It has received numerous accolades and honors.
